Who is eligible to participate in the competition?
Urban planners, urban designers, architects and landscape architects or professionals of similar sections, from all over the world, who are holding the occupational title may participate in the competition. The competition is also open to students or professionals of other fields, provided that the team leader is graduated in one of the above fields, at the latest on the closing day of the competition. The team must consist of up to four participants. The team is free to invite collaborators, but there can only be up to four authors of the proposal.
(For example: A team composed of 4 members, one of which holds a master’s degree in urban planning, urban design, architecture or landscape architecture. The three other members may be students of the mentioned fields or professionals. However, to be eligible to participate you need the project leader’s degree documented. There is no need to have a design studio to be able to participate but at the same time, design studios can participate in the competition).
How or where to register for the competition?
Registration and submission of projects has to be completed at the same time through the application form on the official website of the competition no later than November 16, 2020 (23:59, GMT+2) For more information please refer to the Competition Brief (3.5.2 Registration and submission rules).
How can I get the ‘ team registration code’?
Participants are required to select at their choice a six-digit alphanumeric code according to the instructions in the Competition Brief (3.5.2 Registration and submission rules) upon registration and submission of competition materials.
Does the competition have a participation fee?
There is no fee applied for the registration and participation in this competition. The registration and submission of the proposals will be made through the application form at https://centralsquare-rahovec.info/apply/
What’s the competition format?
The competition is an open, anonymous and one-stage international urban design ideas competition. In order to clarify the phase after the announcement of the winners of the competition, respectively the phase of development and implementation of the project, on the official website of the competition (https://centralsquare-rahovec.info/documents/) is uploaded the document “Terms and conditions”, which must be accepted and signed by the participants, both with other documents when applying.
